I dont get it either! Maybe he thought he would surprise his friend?? But its also the friends fault cause they told him early in the year that it was in July. They should have specified what year!

I can see that happeneing....i sent out my STDs and my aunt called the otther day to congradulate us on the wedding and to tease me that i sent out the invitation late!! lol she didnt know about STDs but as my mom answered the phone she saw the date said may 24 2008!! she thought it was 2007! I could only imagine if we were getting married in like DEC and she jumped on a plane lol!! too funny

i know, it's so sad...but wouldn't you wait till you received an invite and spoke with the bride/groom?! i didn't read the entire story, but maybe he got a save the date and only paid attention to the month and day, not the year?!

damn can you imagine spending all that money for nothing...and then having to do it again next year?!

that was hysterical- i sent that to my FH and he was like its a good thing Kenny (our BM) doesnt live far because he would do that (& he totally would) lol
