Went to get my stamps today- the 2 oz is now .58 but you can't even BUY .58 stamps! you have to buy a .63 and overpay for postage, or get a combination.
So...I went and got the old .63 wedding stamps.
If they know this increase is taking place why can't the stinkin' stamps be ready in time?!
And my postcard stamps have a friggin' tiger on them...

Are you serious!!! That's not fair at all GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, you would THINK they would be organized enough to have the right stamps available..........

this happened the last time they increased postage too - i worked as a secretary for a non-profit at the time and had to keep going back and forth to the post office to see if they had 39 cent stamps - which they didn't have until almost TWO MONTHS after the increase!!
you think they would've learned something after last time!!!!

this is so ridiculous!! I seriously hope they have their act together by the end of June, I'm delaying mailing the invites by a week just to wait for these stupid new stamps.....god help them if they don't have them ready by then!!

Normally I wouldn't care how the stamps look, lord knows the envelope is the first thing that gets chucked...but when she showed me the two different stamps I could choose from to combine in order to make the right amount...it was just HORRIBLE! Actually quite laughable...if only I could remember some of them to give you a chuckle....really quite bizarre!

yeah i knew the stamps situation was going to be stinky so i just took it like a man and bought the knot collection wedding stamps from zazzle...they're selling the .58 cent stamps and they had a sale where you could get the new stamps for the same price as the old stamps..i think its still going on actually...until the end of this month...the knot sent out an e-mail about it...if anyone wants the code i believe i still have it...

I had the same problem, I went to the Lindenhurst post office by FIL's house, actually very close to CLM. We ended up having to get the combo .63 & .39 and then we had to get that ugly 2 cent stamps. I wasn't thrilled but we had to get them out, at least it's done now. We took them to the post office yesterday and 2 people told me that they already received them today so that's good.

I just went through this yesterday at the post office in Chelsea....got a .63 cent stamp, but of course they didn't have anymore wedding stamps! Normally I would search online and order them, but I'm in a time crunch and need to get invites out by the end of this week.
So I got stamps with Brice Canyon on them.......not exactly romantic, but at least it's somewhat pretty!

That is so annoying. I mean wouldn't they think of us Brides and Grooms that need to send our invitations during the postage increase.
We decided to get personalized stamps. Hopefully they will be ready before June 1, 2007.
