this sounds really weird but...

I have been on a special diet for the past three weeks because of illness and my allergies. Although the diet's main focus is not to just lose weight, it is happening pretty rapidly. I am using a doctor and everything... it isn't an extreme diet or anything. It has a lot more to due with other health problems.

I am concerned because I ordered my dress last week and the size was much larger than I would normally order (I had gained about 20 lbs in the past 6 months...). I expected that I would order a larger size... nothing surprising.

I am just worried bc of alterations. If I keep loosing weight like this, I will be significantly smaller. Will the alterations be hard? I asked the lady and she said it should be fine, but I was hoping some of you could share your experiences with alterations/fittings...

TIA!

hopefully you have a cap!!!

you might not want to do any alterations until you are much closer to your wedding day.. in case you are continuing to loose weight!

my place has me going for my first fitting on may 9 and i am getting married june 27.

can i ask what kind of diet you are on? i need to loose 17 pounds!!!

they can take in 3-4 dress sizes so should be fine. I had also lost weight by the time of alterations and was fine. THey also had to order my dress one size larger than my size bc of my breasts so this way top would fit and then take in the waist. People lose and gain weight all the time and they have to do this. It's part of the alterations process

I have a diet to basically restore my metabolism.... I have suffered from food allergies, asthma, etc., and it has taken a huge toll on my system.

I am eating a lot of really lean protein and veggies, keeping the healthy fats, but all the food is really specific. I have super high protein bars with no dairy or gluten...

My doctor is hoping keeping it bland and away from the foods I am allergic to will help me out...
