We figured we would be able to close next week (Wed), well our buyers lawyer can't seem to make himself available until December 4,5 or 8th. Meanwhile I will only be able to take off for the closing, and no time the rest of the week to unpack b/c I have off from the 15th til the 19th for vacation to Florida

in my experience you can suggest a NEW lawyer i have seen it done before

I just called the agent and she is going to call our buyers to see what the issue is and if they can get another lawyer from that firm to close (if it is a firm). We'll see what happens. I just hope we can get in earlier

Turns out it's the house we are buying that is causing the delay. They are actually moving completly out on the 6th , so the closing will be the 8th. Now that I am used to the idea, it will be fine. Just 2 weeks from today
