Has anyone had or have a design session set up with Thomas Knoell? Has anyone heard anything, good or bad??? I was thinking of setting up an appointment to see head pieces since I am looking for something differnt then a tiara/headband and am having a hard time finding anything I like. Does anyone have any other suggestions on where to look for a 'unique/differnt' style head clips/pins????? thank you

I'm having a hard time finding a tiara I love, too. I would LOVE to get a Thomas Knoell, but I think it's way out of my price range.

Re: Thomas Knoell????
Tom is an extremely talented, sensitive guy who listens to what you want and like. He will ask for a picture of your gown and will discuss the look that you want to create. He and his wife run the shop together and they are doing amazingly well. There is no pressure when you go, but you won't want to leave once you are there. It was the only place my daughter looked into for her tiara, and when Rachel realized that, she actually encouraged her to look elsewhere as well. When we 'slept' on it for a couple of days, Rachel was genuinely disappointed we didn't compare with other places. The prices are not cheap but you can see them online. Tom makes every piece himself. I'm sure he can create anything you want him to. I suggest you at least go and talk to him. Don't be surprised if you fall in love with the Shelly George shoes he has there also. They are also expensive, but the most comfortable shoes my daughter ever wore. She was the only one from the BP who kept her shoes on til the very end of the night. Good luck with your decision. PS. I'm sorry I went on and on, but we dealt with many vendors for my daughter's wedding, some great and some so-so. I feel we should recommend the great ones, for their sake as well as for the bride's.
I went into his store without an appt. just because I saw a wedding place as I was passing by. His manner and creativity just flow so nicely. His work is amazing but when I fell in love with a piece, and the price was half the price of my gown, I had to walk away. I have heard to watch out for his trunk shows so you can get a discount.

I had a tiara designed by him -- he is extremelly talented and will take the time to design something specifically for you. Not only does he have tiaras and headbands, but he also has beautiful hair pins and matching jewelry.
If cost is an issue, I would keep my eye out for his trunk shows and his occasional sample sales.
Hope this helps

Re: Thomas Knoell????
I love Thomas Knoell! I plan to get his hairpins (which average about $300-$450 for 6). They are SOOO beautiful. He makes every piece for you, so you can change the rhinestone colors, the finish etc. You will be amazed when you go - both he and his wife are SOOOOOO nice!
ETS: The hairpins I want are on the cover of the most recent Bride magazine (the red cover).
