I met with Thomas Paul tonight - and I have to say that his pictures were BEAUTIFUL!... very very creative! Plus he was so sweet and easy going himself.... But when I saw the price I was a little sticker shocked!.... Did any of you girls feel the same way???
Thank you for your help everyone!!! LOL yes he WAS my first photographer that I met with...so maybe I will have to cut back my budget on other things and put more into the photo&video budget.... ALL WELL.....
I agree though...I did really love TP as well as his photos... I have a few more photographers booked with appointments next week.... does anyone know much about: Patken 12th Night Sherwood Triat (spelling??) Silverfox
...and should I expect the same ballpark pricing wise???

Maybe I didn't look at enough photographers, but I really thought his price was pretty average and reasonable.
I'm also getting married at Vineyard Caterers and I'm using Imagine Studios for photography.

Although we didn't end up booking with him, I felt that he had such a large range of packages to fit all budgets, and he seemed very willing to work with whatever budget we had and what we were looking for

REALLY??? wow...that is soooo strange. He didn't even go over any other packages with me.... wierd.... Maybe I'll just have to ask him to cut out some things or down grade. ????

I didn't feel that way at all. He totally works with your budget and gives you options.
I checked out 5 other photographers before I met with him and he beat them all.
for TP!

Hey, I am the sweaty mess you saw at TP's house. I am glad you liked him. He really is amazing. And I priced him out and he is actually lower than a lot of other photogs.

TP was great and we got such a good deal. He also gave us an extra parent album for his step-mother since FH's parents are divorced but his dad just recently passed away So this will be something nice for his stepmother.

Although I didn't go with TP, I honestly thought his prices were incredibly reasonable or at least in comparison with other photographers and I checked out quite a few.

TP is doing my photography as well as videography and i have to say that he gave us a great deal..compared to other places i checked out, he was the most reasonable...especially since he does beautiful work

I thought is prices beat out most others and what he offers is great. Everything f rom soup to nuts and better prices than others.
He is one of my favorite vendors so far.

TP is doing my photo and video and i thought he was very reasonable and down to earth. he is one of the vendors that i'm very excited about.
was this your first photo appointment?
ETA: Of the three photo/video that I was quoted I got the most for what I was paying for with TP and he has beautiful work!

Really What package did you look at did it include video?
We arent doing video but for the price we got alot more with him than from other photographers

no one has to answer but what price range do you consider good??
say 2000-3000 ? or more in the 4 or 5's
just for photography
i havent had anyone that i like quote me less than 4 to even show up.. ??

Around $4,000 just for photog. is a good and resonable price in my mind. There are many more out there that are more expensive and maybe there are a few that are a bit cheaper but you cant beat TP's talent and package and price, IMO
