Thomas Paul Photography...what do you guys think?

We are considering booking Thomas Paul Photography...
Some questions...

1) I would like to ask you ladies your opinion about this photographer??

2) Did the pictures come out good (engagement, wedding albums)?

3) If there were any mistakes did he work with you to rectify them?

4) Did you use him for video? If not, who did you use? And if you signed for the video too did it come out nice?

5) Any tips on how to make the experience work well? I read some reviews that said you have to be specific with him...does he make sure that he takes the family pictures and everything you need?

Let me know your thoughts. I am looking to book within a week or two.

Thanks!

Re: Thomas Paul Photography...what do you guys think?

I liked his work when I saw books at Chateau La Mer. He wasn't too friendly when I called on the phone so I decided to go elsewhere.

Since you are still looking there are tons of recommendations that you can get on here. Lots of great photographers for maybe even better prices...a least you can compare and choose for yourself. I am in LOVE with J'adore Love Photography. I have my e-pics in my album and you may also go to jadorelove.com and click on the blog for more pics. The customer service is amazing and the pictures are out of this world Fm me if you would like prices

I got to stand up for TP here. He is extremely friendly and you will hear this from most girls, that he keeps in touch more often than other vendors and he's a nice guys and he won't nickle and dime you like I have found with other photographers. I should be getting my epics back today and can't wait to see them. I am using him for both photo and video. look up more posts on him and you will only see good things...good luck

I did like his work. In fact, I really liked it alot but It was a personal experience that turned me off. I was 100% sure I was going to book him until that. I am sure other's had great experiences. As with any vendor sometimes someone has a bad experience.

Re: Thomas Paul Photography...what do you guys think?

I switched to Thomas Paul from a different photographer (also with a great reputation). I can say that Thomas Paul's customer service is fantastic.

His photography style is unique, the work is fantastic and he will do what he needs to do to make you happy. I am not using him for video, I had already booked a videographer who I was happy with by the time I made the switch.

I HIGHLY recommend him. There is a sheet which he provides which asks for 'must take' photos. When you do your e-pics you can stress what's important to you, if family shots are a priority make sure you underscore that.

Good luck!

Re: Thomas Paul Photography...what do you guys think?

He is the nicest, most talkative guy. Very down to earth.

We have our E-Pics in a couple of weeks and whenever we have had to change something he has worked with us- he gave us a great deal!

yup, i love how he goes out of his way to just call and say happy holidays.....and i love how when i call to ask him a question he immediately knows exactly who I am and knows my wedding date and location off the top of his head...that is more then I can say about some of my other vendors.

TP is extremely friendly and accomodating. About the thing with being specific with photos, I think that about all vendors, if there is something very specific you want, you need to communicate it.

So far my experience has been awesome!

Yes I am booked with him for video too.

I have to agree besides the occasional RH sending you something I have never heard such personal customer service where a vendor calls you for the holidays. He is top notch in my book.

Re: Thomas Paul Photography...what do you guys think?

I have to agree with one of the girls...when I called to make an appointment with him he wasn't the nicest and I felt he didn't listen to what I was looking for. I was looking for more photo journalist look and he said that 90% of his work is posed but he won't make it look that way...he said this after I told him I didnt want to be posed...so I just got turned off and went with someone else that I felt fit with me and what I wanted.

I think his work looks nice but some of it can look a little too 'worked' on if that makes sense...but again this is my opinion. If you are happy go with him. All of these choices are a matter of taste and feeling and what look you are going for.

Good luck!

Re: Thomas Paul Photography...what do you guys think?

I LOVE Thomas Paul!!! He wsa by far one of our favorite vendors!

We were originally booked for two years with another very well talked about LIW vendor and after our Epics, we were soooo disappointed that we called Tom and he worked with us 4 months before our wedding. We didnt have Tom, but we had Brian and Tony who work for him. We did use him for video and we were pretty happy with it. His photos are remarkable though. I just bumped my wedding review if you want to see a lot of my pro pics. Check out the wedding review board. If you have any questions, FM me
