I'm wondering the same thing. Will the engagment ring count as old by then? I'll of have it for a year and a half!

I have no idea what I am going to use as something old....

im using my engagement ring...it was my grandmas. i also have a handkerchief that was made into a bonnet that i wore when i was christened so i might use both.

from the dorky scientist in me, technically all natural diamonds are many many many MANY decades old so you could validate it that way...

I used my great-grandmother's rosary beads as my something old and something borrowed (since they are now my mother's). I had my florist weave them into my BOK.

FMIL has been 'asking' (a.k.a demanding) that I wear her cathedral veil. I def want my own, in an update style. So what I am doing is wearing her veil under mine for the ceremony.

I'm using my mom's wedding cape - it's 30 years old!

I haven't really thought of this....I know my mother has some of my grandmother's jewelry, and I know my mom is in possession of her engagement ring (which was an opal cluster, nothing like engagement rings now). I have no idea if it would fit me, but since grandma has passed, I'm thinking now I would like to wear something of hers on my wedding day.
