Oakdale, Sayville, Islip area - where did you book your rooms?
I'm gonna do this next, but I have NO enthusiasm for it at ALL.

I want to do it early since I am getting married the weekend after 4th of July (summer rush). I think if you do it early, you are more likely to be able to book the hotel shuttle too (if you so choose).
I noticed alot of others getting married around when I am started to do this, so I thought I should start looking around!

Your right! I just got nervous because I didn't even have that on my list to do yet.
Are you booking rooms for OOT guests or just you and FH?

I think I am blocking rooms at the Hilton garden Inn on Vet' Highway. They offer a CHEAP breakfast deal for the guests if you or parents or whoever wanted to have a brunch the next day. My mom is going to meet with them next week to discuss the breakfast. We want to block out rooms by the one year mark so that we dont have to worry about them.

Hamptin Inn in Commack. They do airport and reception shuttle buses as long as you have ten rooms. They also include breakfast. Alot of places don't have the shuttle buses.

My friend got married at Lands End, and we all stayed at Holiday Inn on Vets (I think). She got us shuttles to take there and back, so no one drove, and then we all hung out at the hotel bar afer - FUN!!

We are getting buses to bring our guests from the church in Babylon, to the East wind and then we are having a party back at my mom's in Babylon after the wedding so we booked rooms at the Hilton in Huntington.

Sorry to but in on you 06 girls. I got married in October and we used the Hilton Garden - everything was great, since the place is fairly new it is sooooo clean, the people that work there are soooo nice. The only thing is that they do not have shuttle service - but there are so many other options for that.
Good Luck to you!!!!

I went to check out this place and it is very nice. Only two years old so everything is still super clean. Full cooked breakfast is only $9.95 and they have a small bar.

Hey, I booked a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Islip for 119 per room. If we get 10 rooms booked, ours is free and they are giving us late check-out. Seems really reasonable and it is close to our hall
We also are gonna pay 100 bucks to keep the bar open until 3. We definitely will still want to party after the wedding is over at 12am.
