Are all of you having summer weddings considering thats pretty much the only time you have your vacation???
I will be certified as a school psych come next may and assuming I will also be on that school schedule, I'm thinking I have to eliminate pretty much all but the summer months to have a wedding....

I chose my date b/c it was not too close to the end of the school year but also not to close to the beginning. This way I have time to plan last minute and relax after the honeymoon

When I booked with my RH I was asked if I was a teacher. The summer months (July) are really popular for teachers. I booked in July because my FH only has vacation in July and January from his job.

I will be a teacher and the woman that i did my student teaching with told me not to worry and to have it when i wanted to. That's what i did. Im having it in November. It's actually the week before Thanksgiving so I will only really be missing 4 days.

I'm a teacher...we are having our wedding in June before school ends...we are not set on honeymooning right after. We will probably take a hotel in the city for the weekend and then plan a vacation when we can afford it and have the time. Dont let the time off from work dictate your wedding...your job is just that...a JOB dont let it rule your life!

We chose our date because we couldnt afford the summer months so we figured we could go on our honeymoon either the week after or 2 weeks after, depending when Spring Break is.

I chose the summer because I will be off from work. And, it gives me more flexibility with the hm

I am a teacher but I'm not planning on having a summer wedding. I am going to have a Friday night wedding and then probably take a long weekend. I want to have the honeymoon later b/c then there is something else to look fwd to. Plus my FH and I both love the Fall so if we can, we want to get married then.

I'm a teacher and yes I'm planning a summer wedding because I want to know that I can take my honeymoon right after the wedding. I teach in Washington DC and we start school in August. The second week in August we are in training, so an August Wedding and Honeymoon would have to get cut short. So I am looking to July now.
We didn't work the HM around vacation in fact we are having the wedding right after xmas vacation which will give me time 2 do last minute things before the wedding. We are using our sick days for HM.

I'm a teacher and getting married the end of next month... and i can tell you there's NO WAY i personally would have been able to manage doing last-minute wedding things during the school year, it is way too hectic. I am so thankful I have a full month after work ends to finish up everything for the wedding. Also I'll have a full month off after the wedding to relax before work starts again. But it doesn't have to be this way... if you're not a procrastinator like me, then you could probably manage to have it during the school year, and just take a few days off before and after the wedding. Also some people plan their wedding during school breaks like the week off in February, so you don't have to take off extra days for your honeymoon. Good luck deciding!
