Those little red bumps on the back of your arms...

How do you get rid of them!????

dh has them, if I put witch hazel on them they seem to go away a little.

I've been using Neutrogena Skin Smoothing body lotion. It's helped somewhat. It even says on the bottle 'bump minimizing.'

I've been trying everything for a month now! What I found has helped tremendously is an exfoliant with tea tree oil. (The body shop has one - I'm using one by Jurlique from the spa I work in) Use it in the shower and moisturize after. Their not totally gone, but def. 90% better.

can you explain more about your bumps...sounds simliar to somthing else...

are they just (only) on the back of your arms?
how many?
are they grouped together (if more then one)

I think what everyone is talking about is called Keritosis Pilitis (KP), or chicken skin. They are little red bumps that are close together and cover large portions of the arm (and in some people their legs too). I have had them on my arms all my life. They are hair follicles, I think. My dermatologist says that whatever you use to get rid of them, you have to keep using or they come back. Hope that helps!

ok...
DW is dealing with a blood issue and it sounded similar but not as many and not all over they body. Just trying to help

You're right about the chicken skin. I didn't know it had a real name. I was told that it's from clogged hair follicles.

i have them and odd patches of red skin on my arms.....not sunburn....just reddened skin.

it's incredibly attractive
i really enjoy wearing sleeveless shirts to show them off

I think everyone has them in some capacity...they make me feel so middle-aged !

a loofa helps exfoliate it and get rid of it a little bit, but yeah, it always comes back

I'm very fair, and I don't have it. but my FH, who is much darker than I am, has it pretty bad from the shoulder to the elbow. We've tried to get rid of it for 5 yrs!

Yes they are VERY annoying and ugly. Mine are a bit worse in the winter, I guess b/c Im more pale and you can see them more.

Ive been using Aveeno w/ soy (moisturizing lotion)--and it seems to help it a lot, more even and toning out.

There is a tiny patch on my left arm thats a bit more visible than the right.......

No matter what you do they will never go away completely. Tanning helps though!

I have them on my legs and always have had them...they used to make me feel very self conscience when i was younger (my mom gave it to me). Tanning is the only thing that minimizes them. But i have learned to embrace them and show my legs off anyway!
