Those not getting Limos, question

We are getting married and the reception is at the same place. We are not using limos. How would we get to the hotel or back to fh's house after the wedding (we will decide this soon, where we are staying)? Should we get a car service or have someone drop us off or have fh drive (if he has not had the open bar to drink that night lol)? How have people done it who don't use limos?

Re: Those not getting Limos, question

I'm curious, too, b/c we're also in the same situation.....we live kind of far from the reception so it's not like someone can give us a ride.

Re: Those not getting Limos, question

We are not using limo's either, but I was thinking of asking someone from the wedding party to bring our car to the hotel before the wedding and check us in and get our overnight bag to the room.

After the reception, we are changing into regular clothes and continuing the celebrations at a local spot.

We would use car service to pick us up from the after party and bring us to the hotel

Hope that helps

I am pretty curious also, my sister and brother in law are taking me to the wedding, his mom is taking FH, we have no idea about this either.

Re: Those not getting Limos, question

Hire a car or get a trustworthy, sober friend or relative to get you where you need to be! The last thing you want to do is worry about driving after the wedding - my friend's husband was supposed to drive after theirs, but he had had one too many to drink so she had to drive and she said it was so hard b/c of the dress!

Re: Those not getting Limos, question

I don't know about your budget, but we are hiring a shuttle service. Since many of our guests aren't familiar with the area and since SO many of our friends drive drunk, we decided to hire van transportation. They will pick everyone up at the hotel and bring them to the hall and then pick everyone up afterwards and bring them back to the hotel. We're going to hop on the van as well.
