Those of you that have fish

How often do you change the water and whats the best way you suggest doing this?

I put Leroy in another bowl while fiance changes his water. i change it once a month. the man in the store told us that if we change it a lot it will kill the fish. I have had Leroy since Chirstmas. He seems very happy

Fiance puts the bowl under the faucet in the bathtub and washes every thing with his hands until the water looks clear. I sometimes clean the plastic plants in the sink...The gravel stays in the bowl

Do you have a bowl or a tank?

I think I cleaned my tank every few months or so. That was a royal pain in the arse!

Yeah, I would suggest taking it outdoors and using a hose, otherwise you can always do it in a tub/shower (not that easy).

I love fish tanks but the upkeep is just so much work!

What kind of fishies do you have Jenn? I used to love 'Glass Fish'.

don't ask me - my parents went away an dleft their Fighter Fish in my care. i went to change teh water and I guess I made it to cool and I killed the poor thing
