Sorry to crash your board but I have a question for past brides...
My questions is do you wish you would have had it at night????
My dilemma is that I love my hall but I think the wedding ceremony and reception is to early!!!
I am worried about the way people will dress and if people will have just as much fun as if it was at night.
I am debating on changing it from day to night, however FH doesn't want to spend more money... and I don't really want to go for a cheaper place...
Any advice??

Re: Those of you who had a day wedding
I had a day wedding and it turned out great! I was able to take bright pictures. It ended at 6 so the people who needed to get back to work on Monday were able to. If you are worried about the way people will dress you can write on the invite 'black tie' or something to that degree. But people weren't casual at my wedding black pants and a button up shirt but no tuxs. The only thing that was hard but better was getting up at 5 am getting ready because my hair lady was going to be at my house at 7 am for me and the girls.

Re: Those of you who had a day wedding
Thanks everyone :-
I feel so much better about having a day wedding. I know I will still have a good time and it will be nice to have the after party at the hotel.
I thought it might affect people's party moods but I guess I was wrong.
I have never been to a day wedding so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I will write something on the invitations to the effect that a Formal Reception will follow.
Thank you so much I really feel a lot better!!!!!

Re: Those of you who had a day wedding
I loved my day wedding and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The atmosphere was perfect and I got amazing pics.
It also allowed DH and I some time at night to just be alone and reflect upon the day together. I wouldn't have traded it for the world.
