Which charity did you donate to? how much? and what was your reasoning?
I'm really looking into this because trying to find favors that everyone will like is just really getting on my nerves now

We're donating to the MS Society, we're giving about $3 pp, the total will be about $500. No reason for that # it's just what we were able to do

We are doing donations to the Shriner's Children's Hospital. For us that was an easy choice to donate to for two reasons.
#1 My dad is a Shriner #2 They did a fantastic surgery on my sister when she was a child to correct a growth deficit in one leg.

We're donating to the ASPCA... not sure how much, probalby whatever we can afford to give.
We're donating to them because they do such wonderful things to fight cruelty to animals. They also help to fight puppy mills and our dog is from a puppy mill.

We're doing American Heart Association. Not sure how much we'll donate. Probably about $3 per person....

We're making a donation to the American Cancer Society and what's really cool is that my FH job will match 100% of what we give.

We did the American Diabetes Association. My father had diabetes and my husband's has diabetes. It was in memory of my dad and in honor of his. We donated $2 per person (we donate throughout the year so we figured this was okay!).
They sent us scrolls with our donate so we tied them we ribbon and left them by each guests plate.

i'm doing american diabeties association, well becouse i've been a diabetice for 25 years!!! but I don't know how much yet

We are donating to the American Heart Association because both of our father's died after having heart attacks. The 'suggest' $3pp but say it is up to you. You do what you can, even if it is $1 pp.

We are donating around $500 to:
American Diabetes Assc - FH father is diabetic
American Cancer Assc - FH father has cancer and my grandmother died of liver cancer and my other grandmother is a breast cancer survivor!

American Cancer Society.
Both FH's and my grandmothers died of cancer. So did a number of people that should have been at the wedding. At least two of the guests are survivors, and one will be undergoing chemo. With that kind of a list, I absolutely had to do a donation favor...

We are donating to the American Liver Foundation in honor of my uncle. Not sure how much yet, but whatever you can afford is fine.

We are donating to Susan G Komen breast cancer society. My mother passed 4 years ago. We are probably giving aroung $300-$500.

We will also do something small for the table, but haven't figured that out yet. Either tic tacs, mints or lifesavers. It also depends on how much that comes to.

We are donating to the S.I.D.S Foundation (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome)
I had a younger brother (who is also my sister's twin) die at 2 months from SIDS and Fh came up with the idea of making a donation in his name. My parents and sister are so happy.
We are doing what we can afford probably $2-3 a person with a small favor as well.

We donated to the American Cancer Society because within the past few years, we had a few friends who were diagnosed or passed away from cancer...and well as several friends' parents. It was scary...it was like all of a sudden, everyone has some form of it.
We also had a tree planted in honor of each guest there through the Arbor Day Foundation

We donated to the Autism Speaks Charity. $2/guest (maybe a little less) and here is a pic of our favor. I chose this charity because I teach children with Autism so it is very near and dear to me.
probably to the alzheimers (sp?) foundation. FH's grandma has it, and is very sick right now. Don't think she's gonna make it to our wedding. Or to a brain foundation FH mom died of a brain anuerism (sp?) or both. who knows? Not sure on how much but his compnay we think, will match what ever we pay. I am thinking whatever it would cost for favors 500.;00?
