Re: Those who are married...
I took off the 2 days before, and the other days, I was so busy training someone I had a complete meltdown. So... no advice here. Hang in there!

Re: Those who are married...
I was so busy at work preparing for the 2 weeks I would be gone (since no one else here does my job) that I had no time to think about it. I was off 2 days before.

Re: Those who are married...
You are normal to feel like this.Every bride that I've know of (including myself) was totally distracted the last week b/f her wedding day , with constant thoughts of the wedding and not much else. My work week was crazy that week , yet I couldn't concentrate or complete anything
I only took off the Friday b/f our Sunday wedding because I didn't have any extra days off to kill.. otherwise in retrospect, I might have taken from Wed-Fri off
I know its easy for me to say, but hang in there

Re: Those who are married...
It was pretty unbearable, I remember, but I did take 2 days off prior so I only had to be here for 3 days. I know how you feel, hang in there, you'll get through it!!!

Re: Those who are married...
Do you have a ton of work that needs to get done? If not, I wouldn't worry about it, you only get married once
I was actually quitting my job to move to London, so my last day was the Friday before the week before my wedding. In that week that I had off, I had to pack all of my stuff and ship it abroad, finish seating, finish tying favors, make seating chart, drop off stuff to catering hall and make several trips to JFK to pick up out of towners, one of which was the groom!!! I coudln't imagine working that week.Hang in there, you're so close!!!!!!

Re: Those who are married...
I was distracted too, but I had to prepare instructions of things to do while I was gone, so my boss could do my job. I came on here and got excited, then went back to work for a bit, then signed on again, then worked.By Wednesday (my wedding was on Sunday), I just stopped being nervous and cruised through the next few days. Everyone is still telling me how calm I was. I don't know how or why, but I guess I finally realized that it was out of my hands...

I don't think I concentrated at work the last few months before the wedding! And thinking about it...I'm obviously not concentrating now since I'm on here instead of doing work...

Re: Those who are married...
I took the last 3 days off before the wedding, because I KNEW I could not concentrate, plus there were so many things I needed to get done. Luckily, when I WAS at work, the ladies understood and actually teased me about it. They were very understanding.

Re: Those who are married...
I took off all that week and had everything done 2 weeks in advance. Except for the dress which I picked up the week of. But tha'ts because DH's relatives all came in the week before the wedding and I knew I wouldn't have time to do anything wedding wise that week! The only thing I did was pick up the dress and drop off the stuff at the hall 3 days beforehand. You'll be fine!!! Good luck!!!

Re: Those who are married...
I was stressed the last 5 days. I took off the day before. Danielle was off for the summer so she didnt have to take off. The day before up until the end of the wedding was like a dream almost not reality for me. I couldnt believe that it was actually happening after all that time of planning it.Scott

Re: Those who are married...
I was a complete mess. We were are short 1 person & my boss was on vacation so I was so busy.I think the only reason I got anything done at all was because I knew I didn't want to stay foreveor on my last day & because I needed to leave my boss an update on what went on & what needed ot be done before I left.
I was also so buys every eay after work for the last 3 weeks, buying last minute jewelery, printing placecards & programs, it did get to the point where I did somr of that during work. I judt had to get a little out of my system in order to get back to work.
And I was on the phone with my mom almost everyday.

Re: Those who are married...
The week before my wedding, I rememebr ebing a little stressed, but it was mostly excitement to finally be marrying my sweet Craigy :) Work wasn't too bad, I really was very busy that week anyway, so it was a good distraction from stress. It also helped that everyone in my office has gotten married or had a baby practically back to back, so it was expected that I would be a little spaced out that last week! I was pretty calm once I realized that there was nothing else I could possibly do at that point, and I just spent the time here on LIW
and making a list of what needed to be done while I was out. The trick is to not allow yourself to get carried away with everything. It really helped me to try and remind myself that I should try to relax and enjoy the feeling of everything being finished - rather than obsess over things I couldn't control anymore. You're going to get married no matter what and it will be the happiest day of your life! Just a few more days, and you have LIW too!!

Re: Those who are married...
My wedding was on a Sunday, I took off Thurs. and Friday before the wedding, that whole last week or two I basically didn't sleep much and stressed out about the last few details and ran around trying to finish everything and get the final info to all my vendors etc. It was very stressful!!
