Those who booked a DOC

Original post by stinenandy2010

How can I convince my mother I need one?

I am overwhelmed at the thought of all the stuff to do and I need one but I have to convince my parents first.

Now I am debating if I should get one.

If I want to get one a couple months before is that too late? I just want to wait and see if i have the extra money.

How come you need to convince your mom?
Im guessing it's because she would be paying for it.

I would just tell her that you want her and everyone else to enjoy their day and if that doesnt convince her and u still really want one, pay for it yourself.

Wow!!!
Goldie i'm using Eliana too (By Your Side Events)
Isn't she a sweetheart!!!!!! I feel sooo comfortable with her...... I'm glad i found her!!!!!!!!!

For me a DOC is a MUST

She's beyond a sweetheart! I think it will feel more like she is a guest at my wedding than a working vendor. But that's exactly the type of person/relationship I was looking for.

Why do you have to convince your mother?? Its your wedding!! If you would feel more comfortable having a DOC, it should be your decision.

VERY TRUE! its your wedding and your decision really. I did it without consulting anyone.

I had a DOC and it worked out perfect. SOmeone said 'doesn't the maitre'd do this' he deals with anything at the RH itself, the tables and all that. He is not going to call your florist if theres a mistake, and if theres a mistake while at the church then he is not even there. Plus a DOC is used while at the church and makes sure everything goes well. She changed my timeline and THANK GOD she had it from the moment i woke up until it was all over and perfectly planned. Bc of her i didnt rush once, was very calm and relaxed, i didnt even worry about anything bc i said if anything happens i know she will handle it and i didnt even have to know. Because of this i was able to be carefree and relaxed that day, otherwise if it was on me then i would've been thinking about everything. When something happened she took care of it, when i forgot to bring things to dh the night before to have at his house for people, she took it over there and to the church since program basket, rb pillow were all at my house, and FG bok plus MIL's nosegay bok were delivered to my house with all personal flowers. She took all these things and brought it to them.

I also didnt want my mom or bp to even have to do anything. I didnt want them working or dealing with problems if any, i felt they should enjoy the wedding too and it wasnt their job

I am using Elaine Deluca for Exquisite Events. She is amazing, my brother used her for his wedding and she was outstanding. When I decided I wanted a DOC she was the only person that popped into my head. I could never do my wedding without her. FM for any questions
