Those who did Wine Favors

Hi ladies ! FH and I want to get wine as our wedding favors. I have been hoping that it's in our budget. For those brides who have used wine as their favors, how much did you spent in total w/the labels as well. Thanks

Re: Those who did Wine Favors

i did it for my e-party, paid about $4.50 a bottle, then bought organza bags for them but got a good price for the organza bags bc bought them at a wholesale place. Then also bought ribbon to tie around the top. I didnt want to do labels, i figured some ppl dont drink wine like me lol, so incase they wanted to serve in their house for a dinner party or something they would be able to or if they went to a party and wanted to bring a bottle of wine. If it showed it was a favor then it would be hard for them to do so. I do think it looks nice with a label dont get me wrong but i guess since i dont drink wine is why i thought of it the way i did.

Thanks for the quick response. $4.50/bottle sounds like a good price. I just know that the majority of my guest would enjoy this favor, b/c pretty much of all my friends and family drink wine, besides FH friends.

definitely go to liquor stores and see who can give you the best price. I went to 3 local liquor stores and asked what is the best price they can give me and went with the one who was willing to work with me the most. The others were trying to sell it to me for almost the same price they were selling it for in the stores, i told them that if im buying alot of cases then shouldn't i get a discount. It wasnt the owner in one of the stores, it was some young kid and instead of calling and asking a manager he just wanted me to buy it for close to the same price. Then another one was this older lady and she was just a B*TCH and nasty about it hahaha...but the one place i bought it from they really tried to work with me and did the best they could for me

100 bottles (pinot noir & chardonay) = $1200.00 (shipping included) but, I purchased direct with a north west vineyard,
