09 Bride here, looking to get some feedback on the following resorts in bora bora? If not could you please recommend your hotel/resort.

I stayed at the pearl resort in bora bora in an over-the-.water bungalow!! The hotel and everything surrounding it was gorgeous!!!!!!!!! Had a great experience..There are pics in my album if you want to check it out!
Bora Bora is seriously the most beautiful island in Tahiti..its unlike anywhere I have ever been!

Bora Bora is seriously the most beautiful island in Tahiti..its unlike anywhere I have ever been!
i also stayed here but had a very negative experience. the wind in the over the water bungalows was so bad that i stayed up all night....also, there were huge waterbugs and our bathroom smelled like sewers.
my experience was that moorea was a much much more beautiful island. the nicest place i've been to in my life...i stayed at the sheraton in moorea. no complaints whatsoever.

I just got back and i stayed at the Nui. i would say that overall the resort was fantastic (free internet too!) we stayed in an OWB and the room was nice. the restaurants were pretty good pool area was great.
the only negative thing was that there seemed to be a lot of bugs in our bungalow. we would find like 10-20 ants a day in our bathroom. plus the cleaning ppl put a hibiscus flower in the living area when we arrived and that attracted these other bugs. those bugs went away once we threw the flower out and asked the hotel to spray down the living room area.
we were not able to change rooms because the hotel was booked, given that they were filming a move at the St. Regis and a lot of the guests were relocated to the Nui.
also, you should be aware of the fact that they charge you ~$40 pp for the boat shuttle to and from the main island if you go around dinnertime (the 6pm and 7pm shuttle), and ~$140 for the roundtrip shuttle to and from the hotel.

that is true! There are a lot of bugs!!!! Beware! but this was what i was told by the travel agent about bungalows in general..they always have bugs..and the wind was kind of annoying..i heard it too!

Us too!! I cannot tell you how many ants I saw..they were everywhere!!! The best advice I was given..was DON'T KEEP ANY FOOD IN YOUR BUNGALOW!!!
