Hi. I also got mine from Michaels. I paid $15 per box (same set as butterfly). I used coupns . With the flowers and glue gun and extra nic-nakcs that I purchased I'd say about $100 (stamps not included). That price includes my save the dates. Got the cards w/ envelopes on clearance $2.00 pack of 20.

I got everything from Paper Access store and all came out to be around $300 for 150 invites.

I am doing the Envelopment type and to have them custom made I had quotes starting from $700 and up.

Re: Those who have made their own invites...

I made mine from handmade rose petal paper with vellum overlays- they were abour $180 for about 100 of them, with RSVP cards and place cards, inner and outer envelopes, and rose seals.

Is anyone else having trouble finding a hole punch with a 1 1/2 inch reach?! It's driving me crazy! I found one, but my paper is so think that it takes forever to get the paper punched!

we made ours and got all the supplies from marco's paper - they were cheaper than anywhere else we found.

We used handmade India silk paper, and velum. Ours were a double fold sealed with wax. It was a lot of work but we loved how they came out and it was a fun project to do together. I don't remember exactly how much it all cost. We made 300+ invitations but it was at least half the price we would have paid to have someone else do them.

great site, did you order samplers before you ordered the paper? did you have to cut the paper yourself or did you order it pre cut?

thanks for the info!

Mine came out to roughly 1,000 but you'd have to see them to understand.. and if I would have had them made they would have easily run me 20/per set, so IMO, it was SOO worth it.

Re: Those who have made their own invites...

I am in the process of making ours. I went to michaels and got halcraft cards and envelopes, 50 of each in a package, regular retail 10 bucks each, but with sales and or coupon, they came to 5 bucks each. so for 3 packages, it came to 15. then i am lining the envelopes, so the foil wrapping paper came to 4 bucks for 3 rolls at party city. sale!!! we will probably print them up on either our laser jet or epson photo printer, simple text, but i will hand write our names in on each invite. for the save the date and response cards and possibly the thank you notes, i am taking an extra set of the cards, putting the envelopes aside and printing the info on on the cards. i will have 2 per card b/c i am cutting them with deckle scissors and making them into postcards. i purchased an old fashioned post card stamp so the scissors, stamp and ink pad came to 25 dollars. so far i am at 40 dollars, still need postage and i will probably get another packet of cards, new pens for calligraphy and i don't know. i hope to stay int the 150 - 200 dollar range including postage. when i am done, i will post pix. we wanted awesome music and a fantastic photographer, so we went lo budge on the invites. but i have faith that they will look very beautiful. so that is that.
