How long does the procedure take and does it hurt? My amnio is this afternoon and I'm a nervous wreck! Wish me luck

It doesn't hurt at all -- it was more like a pressure. It didn't take that long either -- I think my wait to be taken was longer then the procedure (and the wait after to find out the results is longer)!

Same as Deb. They gave me a local, if you don't look it only feels like pressure, and you get to see your little one Waiting for the results is the worst part of the test
