Took some pix of the reception hall, Chateau La Mer when we went yesterday to make a payment... thought I'd share

Thank you so much for posting these. I'm also getting married at Chateau La Mer and am so happy with our choice! Did you go for the tasting? Are you doing the boat thing if its nice out?

We did go for a tasting and it was great! I got the name of the bakery with the cookies are from and I am determined to find it :)
I don't think we'll be able to have the boat unless we have a beautiful November... either way I am very happy with my decision as well!

When we were there it almost made me wish we were having a day wedding because its so beautiful.... but it's just as beautiful at night :)

OK ladies, I went to CLM last night. Well, I don't think you can call it night, cause I was there at 7:30 and it was still light out, so I didn't exactly get the night pictures I wanted, but I did take some I will put up this weekend. The big news is, the pics look very different from GoingNuttys! The whole back area where the Gazebo and deck are, is dug up--just huge piles of dirt with the deck gone! They are putting in the new courtyard and stones and it should be done within the next two weeks for the summer brides. I have been very interested in the construction because I'm getting married in the new chapel they are putting downstairs. Status on that is the sprinkler guy is coming next week and the stairs put in in two weeks. Nick said come back at the end of May/Beginning of June and everything should be done. They are changing the carpet in the cocktail hour room (blue/gold), putting in the large chandelier in the lobby, changing the look of the lobby with different style walls and black railings instead of all the brass. So everything should be done really soon!!! Except the elevator which I think is supposed to be done in November. Pics soon!

Thanks for all the info! I knew that they were doing a lot of work but they hadn't started it yet last week when we went.... We decided we are going to make our payments in person so that we can see all the work done as its happening (and take more pix).
Can't wait to see your pix! :)

Thanks anyway... :( We are going to probably take more pix when we go back in June to make another payment if there are any changes...
We should make our own 'official thread'-- we have found a few CLM brides on here! :)
