do you find it hard to be 'happy'? are you more 'comfortable' with the world when you are going through hard times then when things seem to be going well? are you perhaps, more inclined to 'trust' in the hard times more than in the good times?
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, there is a seat on the short bus next to me...comes complete with a fancy new jacket and some little blue pills.

Re: thoughtful question of the day
Sometimes when things are going so well for me, I get a little nervous and I am waiting for that something bad to happen. I especially felt like this for the few months before the wedding. But I try to fight it. It is a leftover from my screwed up childhood. LOL

That's DH, he's always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I like to be happy but there is some self-satisfaction of being upset/stressed and then seeing yourself get through it.

Re: thoughtful question of the day
I think we all feel a litle blue from time and are unhappy with our lives at times. However, for me, those blue moments pass by very quickly and I always find myself happy and content with my life. I tend to look at the big picture....where I came from, what I've been through, the good and the bad, and where I am right now...my accomplishments, experiences...there are very few people that I 'trust' in my life...mainly my husband and my family. I don't share with everyone my deepest feelings and life experiences. I like it that way...I feel secure.

Generally speaking, I'm not an overly happy nor sad person. I'm sort of in the middle. I also happen to notice that I'm in a worse mood at the beginning of the day and as it goes on I'm better. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I HATE where I work. Maybe not.
I guess I really don't know when I'm happy. That could be due to the fact that I'm a moody biatch...Hmmmm.

I s*ck. I am at the point in my life that is something is going good, I EXPECT it to fall apart. I am not so much comfortable, but use to things being poor.

Re: thoughtful question of the day
Reminds me of a line from Pretty Woman, where they're laying in bed talking about how she was put down a lot when she was younger. And she says 'The bad stuff is just easier to believe, you ever notice that?' I think it's very true sometimes.
I had those 'what if' thoughts around the wedding, while I was thinking about life and the future. It was the first real 'I'm too happy, something horrible is going to happen.' that I've ever had.
I'm a pretty happy person. I can handle a lot, but potential problems with DH throw me over the edge. I think I could take everything else in life, but problems with him would kill me.
So on the rare occasion we have fights, I completely overrreact and get a bit manic.

Hmmm...I have Sylvia, Jennie and Green tendencies.
Like my 'reverse anorexia', I tend to be happy all the time. I take the good b/c I belive I deserve and have worked for the happiness in my life (think 'life is what you make of it'). However, when problems set in - I can crumble. Because of this, I'm also deathly afraid of death. They say that is a sign of depression...

I am happy with my life. It's not nice and pink everyday but I love where I am at in my life.
I just don't like winter. I really enjoy the great, warm weather. Then I totally thrive.

I can relate. Perhaps we were sisters seperated at birth?
