Thoughts?

I am thinking of posting this at the entrance to the church. Thoughts?

'In honor of our wedding day,

This is a precious day for us to be shared with YOU.
It is our wish to keep it private.
Thank you for understanding.'

Re: Thoughts?

It sounds nice, but where exactly will you be posting this?

Also, most people don't read things so it might not be worth the effort. The best thing might be to tell the ushers to tell people as they walk them to the seats.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking it may be more appropriate as a subtle note in the invitation envelope. This way, you'll also be communicating to the people who don't attend the ceremony. The sign may also detract from the beauty of your church.

Thoughts?

We will post it on the table next to the cry packs and bubbles.

I don't mind as much at the reception, but the ceremony is sacred in our eyes....

Thoughts?

I think this would be fine. You could also put it on the program so you can be sure everyone read it.

Thoughts?

We put a small note at the bottom of our programs saying 'please no photography.' People really respected it! I think they thought it was a rule of the church but really it was just our wish to avoid having things posted to facebook-plus I always hate it when it is like paparazzi when the bride walks down the aisle!

Thoughts?

What about asking the priest to announce it before the ceremony, before the videographer starts taping? That way it almost does sound like it's a church rule? I'm jut thinking, I don't know if my friends would notice a sign, but they'd definitely notice and respect someone announcing it. Most clergy request for guests to turn off their phones anyway at the beginning of a ceremony, so why not just add that in?

Thoughts?

I would say in the program. Almost everyone reads that while they are sitting and waiting for the ceremony to start. Also we are putting it in our website and blaming it on our photographer!

For the most par you should know your 'Facebook' posters so I would say it to them personally. Also change your account settings so you need to approve all items you are tagged in,

Thoughts?

A sign will be missed by a lot of people. People are excited and focusing on getting a seat, no one is reading any signs.

I think either the suggestions of having it in the program or having the priest announce it before the ceremony begins are the best way to go.
