Thoughts on flower and garter toss?

Thoughts on flower and garter toss?

I'm curious what other LIW brides are doing! Will you be doing a flower and garter toss? Why or Why not?

I myself am going to forgo both since I feel it's a bit old fashioned and I'd rather have more party time!

I did and I'm so happy I did. It was so much fun and everyone was laughing and so d r u n k by the time we did it towards the end of the night that everyone was into it. see pics in my review.

I like the tradition of the bo-q toss, plus it only takes like 3 minutes.

no garter toss/removal.

we didn't do either one. We didn't have many single people there and the feminist in me doesn't like the 'tradition' of them.

i am not planning to do it.. most of the females at the wedding will be attached and i don't know that i fully trust the guys to act appropriately- with the wedding being a lot of adult guests, i would rather not be embarassed

I am definitely not doing either. I dont think there are going to be many singles and i woouldnt want to have any embarrassing moments... never really was my thing anyway

i guess its personal choice.

we arent doing it since we wont have many single friends at the wedding. So, we are doing the anniversary dance instead!

I am not doing either- I am having very few single people so its not worth it

We are not going to be doing either. We'd just rather use that time for more dancing.

Doing a Bok toss - it was a last minute decision for me - a few single girls there!

Im with you on this one! We didn't do either. Im not a fan of it and since I was an older bride there weren't many singles in the crowd and the ones that were there did not want to bring attention to the fact they are still single.

I'm going to do the flower toss just because I think it's funny. And I'll be playing Blondie's 'One way or another' I want someone to dive for it!

Glad some of you are with me on this one!

As for the anniversary dance...I saw that at one wedding for the first time in April and thought it was cutest thing ever! I'm planning on adding that as well!

I'm doing neither. We are the last of our friends to get married, so really the only single people there will be under the age of 10. I was considering doing the anniversary dance and giving my bok to my grandparents, but they aren't staying for the reception bc its too loud and late

I love the idea of an anniversary dance, but alas, both of my grandpas have passed

My dad's parent's were married 79 years when my grandpa died!

I think I might forgo the bo-k and garter toss as well.

OMG, I can't wait to do it! I still have alot of single friends (mostly all in the same group of friends) so I think it will be hysterical! If people feel akward about doing it, then theycan just sit out for the 5 minutes it takes!
