Thoughts on Friday weddings

Re: Thoughts on Friday weddings

we chose Sunday over Friday because we know some people would probably like to come to the ceremony. We already had ppl tell us they can ONLY make the ceremony because of work or School that Monday. NO hard feelings, those who really care have taken Monday off, are talking half a day off or are going to though it out at work. I'm sure some will leave early too, we hope not that many, though....
The bottom line is, those who care will make it no matter what day of the week you choose.

My feelings are that every couple should do what works for them and makes them happy! No matter what day you choose the important people in your lives will be there. If some leave early....who cares!
Me personally don't have a problem with weekday or sunday weddings. I usually just take the next day off, or just go to work if need be.
We personally chose Sunday over Sat. as FH had alot of co-workers coming and figured it would be easier for them all to come on Sunday then after work on a Friday.

I am getting married on a friday. Church is at 4:00 CH is at 7:00. I don't expect everyone to take off to come to the church but I know the most important people in my life will be there & that is all that matters to me. I am not worried at all.

If they want to be there, they will find a way!

ive been to plenty of weddings on a friday, in some cases if i couldnt get out of work i would miss the ceremony but i think thats a common thing.
we are having a sunday wedding, however its the sunday of columbus day weekend so a really good chunk of our guests will already have off that monday, and the ones that dont have had enough of a heads up to decide if they want to take that monday off or not.

i'm at that point, you can not make everyone happy. when i worked at the salon, i would have to take off for a sat. wedding, and that the safe day cause everyone has off. there is no such thing as a safe day anymore lol alot of ppl in my family are cops, firemen and nurses all of which dont have your mon-friday 9-5 job. i'm also now at the point i have my fingers crossed for some no shows after finalizing the guest list lol

crashing... I had a Friday day wedding and pretty much 98% of my guests were at the ceremony and the reception. The ones that didn't make the effort, didn't RSVP so I'm okay with that.

People will complain but if you care enough about that person, you'll attend.

We are getting married on a Friday. Our ceremony begins at 4pm our reception starts at 7:30. I figure only close family and friends will attend our mass, which is fine with me.
