Thoughts on Thatched Cottage

Has anyone been to a wedding at the Thatched Cottage in Centerport? If so, what did you think of it?

My sister used to work there in high school and she still says its where she wants to get married. I think that says a lot. I personally won;t get married there since I went to about 7 sweet sixteens there, but its very pretty and has good food fora good price.

I was just at a wedding there in April!!! It was fantastic!!!

I'm getting married there in 18 days, i'll let you know.

so far everyone has been great and attentive. whenever i call they are right there to answer my questions and they are very comforting. i am a very nervous bride at times, and they had made me feel better !

I went to a wedding there 2 summers ago, it was beautiful. The weather was perfect for the outdoors ceremony & cocktail hour, and the food was delicious. I'm not really a fish-eater, but they had a salmon choice that was in a puff pastry with some sort of caper sauce, and I was in love! I still talk about how delicious it was! It was a beautiful wedding, no negatives that I saw!

I've only been to showers and communions there. It is really nice and the food was great!

I went to a wedding there in November of 2001 and I remember it being a really pretty place with good food.

It was cold and dark outside, so I didn't get to see the grounds, but I heard they are very nice and well kept.

I had my engagement party there and I can't rave about it enough...the food, the atmosphere, the grounds - that a gorgeous place, IMHO!

just thought id share, my firend was sopposed to get married at TC but now she is pregnant and changing her plan. we went for a food tasting and honestly the food was AMAZING> im getting married at CLM and its great but i thought ide tell you about TC. the guy was awesome too, the salmon comes wrapped in a homemade puffed pastry in the shape of a fish with a tail, so cute. also the appetizers are all fresh homemade, i think by the owner himself. they are not those tinmy boxed costco appa, they are like indiv. made. kinda crazy actually. the only thing neg. i thought was that the downstairs CT room smelled a little musty, but with food around u prob wont smell it.

It's beautiful... FH and I almost chosse but ended going w/ a differnet RH that we loved just as much. Thatched Cottage offers a lot for your money and the view is really pretty. Great photos opts.

I went to a wedding last year and it was lovely. The cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor and there was plenty of room for everybody. The grounds in the back were beautiful. My friend who had her reception there has some gorgeous pics.

So happy to hear good things about TC. We booked it already, but I did not know people who had their wedding there. All of your comments have reassured me that I made a good decision. Can't wait! Good luck to all the other brides having their weddings there.

me too - in 52 days!!! very excited. i had never been to a wedding there but my friends have and loved it. i went to a tasting and they were great. My parents are off-the-boat from Italy - if the food wasn't good - my head would roll and they approve!
