Re: Thoughts on Thatched Cottage

we were married there 2 years ago (almost) and we honestly can say it was the best place for us. we still get from people that it was such a memorable wedding in all aspects and they recommend the tc to people they know. good luck to those getting married there in the next few weeks!!!

Re: Thoughts on Thatched Cottage

I love the Thatched Cottage! I've been to 2 weddings there.

The first was March 2000 - the ceremony was upstairs (near the bridal suite), then the cocktail hour was on the bottom floor - they had frozen drinks - so much fun! The reception was on the main floor. I mainly remember how amazing the food was - especially the duck.

The second was my sister's wedding in August 2004 (I was MOH). The BEST wedding I have ever gone to! The ceremony was in the gazebo - so pretty! She had an outdoor cocktail hour - there was a TON of food - although I didn't really get to eat much of it, everybody was raving about it afterwards. Again, dinner was great - she had an ice cream bar, which was a hit. We drank and danced all night

The staff there is amazing - from the maitre d to the bridal attendant to the waitstaff, they all went out of their way for us.

Re: Thoughts on Thatched Cottage

my fh & I were considering booking there and we did a tasting...they went all out & treated us like royalty (just for a tasting), the food was outragous!
Only reason we didn't book there was because the night that we wanted was taken and we didnt want a day wedding.
