(For those that are having the ceremony there) : I didn't know of this but it comes all decorated. So, you wouldn't have to spend that extra $$ to decorate the ceremony. Just wanted to share this if you didn't know..

That's true, and if there are mulitple weddings, the flowers they use to line the aisle are usually the flowers from the last wedding.

However, for my wedding, I was very into my Fall Theme and absolutely DID NOT want the flowers they were decorating the Chuppah with (they were all white, and white was NOT in my color scheme). My Banquet Manager had to get the approval from the other two brides that day to change the Chuppah flowers, and each Bride was okay with it (apparently, they had fall themed weddings too). The flowers they had on the podiums lining the aisle were the centerpiece flowers of the last bride of that afternoon. Which did go with my fall theme.

So I do not need to get any flowers for the ceremony?

I would double check, but we techincally didn't have to (I wanted to). Typically, they do it this way, because they don't leave alot of time between ceremony's to be able to break everything down and re-set everything up.

So wait....I have the early wedding (11:30)

Does this mean that I have to pay for flowers to decorate everyone's ceremony for the rest of the day?

I don't want to sounds mean but I don't think that's fair.

I also had an early ceremony, which means I only paid for the Chuppah flowers (because I didn't want Crest Hollow's flowers). The last bride that afternoon (I think it was a 1:30 ceremony) had HER flowers that lined the aisle (They usually use the centerpieces from the reception).

As per my BM: No Eva, you don't have to pay for it as it comes decorated already. You will have to pay for it if you want your florist to decorate it. They carry a variety of flowers....

Thanks Lily....

I just got a bit nervous. My budget is already trying to spiral out of control. I can't afford to throw in extra flowers or stuff.

I would double check that, my sister got married there 4 1/2 years ago, and my wedding was just last year, we were both told, they only decorate in white flowers, that they do not carry a variety of flowers. My sister was okay with the white, but I wanted something different and was told I could only have different if we had our florist do what we wanted and they had permission from the other brides of that day.

Any one making their own cemterpieces? or getting flower centerpieces through florist. Did any use the recommended florists from CHCC.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides Thread!!!!!

My MIL is a designer so she's going to create the centerpieces with her sister. She has a contract with some flower company so we can get everything wholesale and just put them together ourselves.

It's the first thing I've been able to save any money on!

Back to the whole ceremony flower thing....I think it would be a great way to save money if we all were having the same theme for our ceremony flowers. This way we could order from one florist, leave it out all day, and spilt the cost.

Is this tacky? I mean they're just accent pieces. CHCC already has so many flowers up.

What do you ladies think? Honestly.

Re: Crest Hollow Brides Thread!!!!!

I hired a florist to do my centerpieces. I will be having an Autumn theme so the flowers will consist of some red, orange and green flowers with berrys on it. Also with a touch of an Orange/brown leaves...

Regarding the Ceremony flowers: Don't mean to sound cheap but I just didn't feel like it was worth the $$ for a half hour ceremony... To me, I don't think alot of ppl will be paying much attention to the color of the flowers as CHCC is nice enuff...

If you are doing an outside ceremony - it is in the garden so you obviously wouldn't use any of their flowers! Inside, for my friends wedding, they used the centerpieces to line the aisle!

I might go with the officiant Reverand Sica. I met with him briefly and he's a real down to earth and funny person. However, one thing though, he's hard to reach. Just his home phone.

Welcome aboard nenarky. I booked the Emerald room also and if weather permits, might do a OTCH too..this is so cool..
