Three Village Inn
I'm thinking of having my reception at the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. I've never been to a function there and would love comments, opinions, feedack.

I have never been to a reception there, so I cannot say about food, service firsthand. But my FSIL had hers there, and loved it. It is such a cute place too! She lives in CA, but on her 1st anniversary she went back to stay there. She will also be staying there when she comes for our wedding. And, my Fi and I booked a room there for our wedding night.

The Three Village Inn is so pretty. The area is beautiful. The last time I was there was a long time ago so I can't comment on the food (I don't really remember it). It is definitely a really stunning place to have a wedding.

Check out their website, www.threevillageinn.com. I was there for a formal about 4 years ago. The food was okay, nothing spectacular...but, maybe they've changed chefs since then? I remember the ballroom feeling crowded - mostly b/c it's not a very big room. It is narrow and long, so the tables are pretty close together. Also, the dance floor was small. If you are planning on having a large party, this might not be the best place for you. Another thing I remember - the restroom doors are inside the ballroom, so if there's a line, the line dumps out into the dining room. Not really ideal for a wedding. Aside from the room size, it is pretty and quaint and the location is very nice. They are having a bridal open house on Feb. 23rd. You have to register, but it's free. You might go to that, and see for yourself. Good luck!

I went to a wedding there this past summer. Like Claud2001 said, the room is somewhat small, as is the dance floor. My friend had a small wedding (70), so it was ideal. They put a divider up to separate the cocktail hour/ and the reception. The cocktail hour was a little cramped, people were going outside to get some room. The food was good though and the bride had no regrets. Did you try The old Field Club? It's not far from there. It's on the way to west meadow beach. Check it out.

Two of my close friends had their weddings there, (one had her ceremony there, too)and both were very happy with it . I think the food is pretty good, it`s very quaint/countryish so if that`s what you like, then this place is perfect. The only thing I`m not crazy about is the old fashioned outfits the servers wear but that`s such a small detail.Welcome New Vendors
