Throggs Neck/Westchester bday~party Venue

Hi Ladies,

I'm trying to plan DH 30th birthday. I'm having a hard time finding a place with my requirements. I was thinking of doing just passed hor dorves (how ever you spell it) and open bar. I went to Tosca in Throggs Neck but they want an outrageous price for 40 people. I don't really want to do a sit down diner. Just some food and booze & music of course. Do any of you lovely ladies have any suggestions.

I know I know I went from planning a baby shower to a 30th Birthday in a week. It's never ending for me! But I love having reasons to celebrate!

I've never been there and I am not sure what it is called...but as you are crossing the Throgs Neck Bridge (heading back toward Queens)...there is a catering hall right there.

Maybe it would be something to look into?

Villa Barrone
It's worth checking them out

Some other places to consider:

Patricia's on Morris Park (reallly yummy food) and they just expanded, so it looks like they would have a party room area
if you are in the area, drive around morris park, there are a bunch of restaurants (names i cant remember) that could be cute

also what about city island?

if you are looking at westchester, the radisson in new rochelle has a restaurant. im sure they could accomodate what you want/need

also don cocqui looks really cute (google them)

I live up the block from Tosca so I thought it would be great b/c it's nice and close to home. But they want over 3K for 40 poeple with passes hor dorves and an open bar. We had our engagement party at RIno's with 75 people and didn't spend that much with a full menu. I might look into having it there.

Thanks Ladies! I've just emailed about 3 of those places!!

I don't think Patricia's is that expensive.

Do you want it at an Italian restaurant?

How about Wicked Wolf? I know they do parties there and their food is delicious. Don't know what kind of atmosphere you are looking for.

My MOH had her RD there and it was great (I'm even thinking it would be a food location for our RD)

I'm really open to anything that fits into my budget and doesn't require me to be in the kitchen for 4 hours!

We asked our Bridal Party to be our bridal party at Wicked! I swear we must be partying in the same places and just missing eachother!!!

Try Pine Bar and Grill on Eastchester Road in Morris Park. They reopened this past spring and the place looks great! The food is good and reasonable. Rory Dolan's in Yonkers has a nice private room: Rory Dolan's Restaurant, Bar & Caterers, 890 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704
Telephone: (914) 776-2946.

LOL Actually that's my old neighborhood (I live in Queens now), so I'm not out in the bars there often.

Def. check out Wicked Wolf for the party though. I have yet to be dissapointed with their food and I am only assuming that they are reasonably priced because I know my MOH paid for it herself and she was on a tight budget.

I think I am actually going to make rounds this weekend at different places and pick up their party menus/pricing. I'll let you know what I find.
