DH and I want to go out to eat tonight, nothing fancy, but we are looking for someplace new. We want to stay somewhat near home (Wantagh). Any suggestions?

if you want Mexican there is a great little Mex place on 107 (Broadway) in Hicksville called Don Juan 2. No one knows about it, and it's almost always empty. It's right after King Kullen on the right hand side if you're coming from Wantagh.
ETA- It's my Favorite restaurant and the food is excellent!!!!

All great suggestions I also love Arthur Ave. on Hempstead Tpke in east meadow for Italian. I also hear for mexican South of the border on Wantagh Ave Levittown is SO GOOD and the girl gets a free rose LOL.

If you want chinese, there is a great place in Merrick on Merrick Rd called Hunan Gourmet. There's also the Outback in Merrick. Or a GREAT thai place in Bellmore on Merrick Rd. called Onzon Thai.

The Orient in Bethpage, just like Chinese food from Brooklyn, we get sizzling steak and peking pork chops... yummy, It's Greek to Me in Syosset. All there food is homemade, Domenicos for Italian, or International cafe in Bellmore on bedford Ave. (They only take cash).
