Throw Pillows

My venue has a lot of couches and lounge furniture. I want to get (or make??? is that crazy??) throw pillows that match my colors (Dark purple and lime) to go everywhere. Any ideas of a place where they won't cost a million dollars?

I would try TJ Maxx or Marshalls first, if not why not go to a fabric shop, by the fabric in the colors you want and make them yourself? If your not into sewing, bring it to a cleaners and tell them what you want.

If you can't find nice ones, you could find cheap pillows (maybe even from the craft or other discount store) and recover them.

I remember seeing in an old Martha Stewart Living, she took pretty scarves and folded them around throw pillows. Almost like an envelope foldThey looked awesome. Then they were just fastened with either a safety pin (or sewing, but I didn't even pay attention to that part). Sometimes that might be cheaper than fabric from the fabric store.

Oh yeah, you could also probably buy pretty sheets to use for the fabric (might be cheaper too). And that iron on hem tape or liquid stitch stuff is supposed to be pretty good.

If you want to get crazy and start DIY you can buy fabric and just cover the pillows in the color you want.

do you have someone in your family that owns a sewing machine and wont mind doing them? the person can just sew them and you can stuff and close on your own
