'throwing stuff' question....possibly dumb

I planned on doing petals I thought... but then I had a thought... what if it rains?? That would kinda be a waste wouldn't it?? ppl arn't really gonna be waiting outside in the rain nor would we really make a grand entrance outside into the rain...


so i'm thinking bubbles would be a little less $$ wasted in case of rain.... right? or are petals like nothing either.... I looked online for freeze dried rose petals and even those were kinda pricey I thought...
