Throwing the bouquet

Has anyone heard of throwing the your bouquet outside the church after the mass/ceremony?

I wasn't going to do this -- someone told me they saw this done at a wedding -- It was a greek wedding - not sure if that is a custom or not?

I havent seen it before- but its original and if you like it go for it- I have been to a couple greek weddings and have not seen that done though.

Have not heard of that but it is your wedding - do what makes you happy. I am not throwing a bouquet - I do not have many single ladies attending our wedding and would not want any of those present to feel put on the spot.

It is not a standard custom at Greek weddings...in fact, thowing the bouquet was not a custom in Greece at all until recently when the idea was 'imported' from America.

I have read about throwing the bouquet after the ceremony in novels, but have never seen it done in person.

YUP!! a friend of miine did it...it was really cute...not a single lady thing but just to throw it...Im thinking of doing the same thing when we get into the car!
