Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday?
I was always told that if I chose to have a wedding 'not on a Saturday' that it would save me a ton of money. we definitely got a better deal on the RH but have any of your other vendors mentioned an 'off-day' discount of any sort or did you see/know of a difference? Just wondering if I misunderstood all the hype :) even though I would have picked a Sunday either way.

The only off-season deal I saw was for Limos, nothing else. Most reception halls I went to didn't even have a significant difference if we went with anything other than a Saturday night.

RH wise it was more difference for afternoon vs evening not really sat vs Sunday as for vendors I didn't see any discounts really.

Nope. Just the venue. I wasn't even thinking it applied to vendors. Hmmm

The price for us for our RH was about 5-10 dollars cheaper, I think. I remember it was an argument between my mother and I because she did the math and told me a specific price that I could be saving if I got married on a Sunday or went for the following week and got married the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I was really stuck on having a Saturday wedding and wouldn't budge..plus I already signed a contract at this point. I'm rambling because it was such a big issue, but for me, it would have been cheaper.

Even with certain vendors... they may have a different 'off' season. I'm getting married around the holidays and my DJ made the comment that I was smart to book him early because of HOLIDAY parties! I didn't even THINK of holiday parties!A lot of vendors I looked at had a contracted price regardless of day/season/whatever.

I am getting a cheaper price on bands for having a Saturday DAYTIME wedding. My RH is also cheaper during the day. So far, that's it.

Swan Club was about $15 cheaper per person than on a Saturday day or night.

I dont think other vendors advertise lowerprices for having your wedding on a non traditional wedding day. However I would ask the vendor because if they strickly do weddings its extra money on a day they sshould be free

I got a better price on my hall because a) daytime on a Sunday, b) it is on Mother's Day and c) cocktail reception. At first I freaked out because I thought everyone would hate it, but apparently everyone loves that it is on Mother's Day and a non-traditional wedding!Welcome New Vendors
