Thursday night weddings

Hey girls, I was told when booking my RH that Thursday ngihts were 'the new Friday' lol and that they were almost all booked already (end of Nov) for July of '07, so I booked it. But now, I feel like I'm the only one. I didn't have a problem with the Thursday thing, esp since most of our friends are either doctors and weekdays mean nothing to them or are teachers who are off for the summer... but I haven't seen anyone else on a Thursday! Am I the only one or are there other Thursday ngiht brides out there?!! I'm starting to get a little nervous

I'm a sunday night but I wouldn't worry. I love to go to weddings and it doesn't matter the day or night!

I get a little nervous about sunday night, I got nervous about doing a day wedding, and I got nervous about the cost of saturday night. It's normal. Just have fun!

I'm not a Thursday night bride, but when we were doing our RH search, one of the RHs told us the same thing. She said that Thursday night weddings were becoming really popular because people get to take long weekends.

I'm sure you're not the only one, don't worry! I'm sure you'll going to have an amazing wedding regardless of the day of the week! Good luck with everything!

just read in a modern bride i think in their 2006 list of things that thursdays were the new hottest nights for weddings!!

i'm a sunday night went through the whole nervous thing about people not going to show up and so on.. but its the summer and it gives people an excuse to take off!!

I was in a Thursday night wedding a few years ago....I haven't heard of many but I have heard of a few.

I went to a Thursday night wedding last month and I had a great time!! AND, they had a great turnout! Don't worry, your wedding will be terrific!

Yeah one of my girlfriends - her cousin had a Thursday wedding [1 week be4 mine] but supposively they couldn't get a weekend b/c it was at Oheka Castle. I've honestly never heard of a Thursday wedding until my friend told me about it.

believe it or not, many people dont wanna get married on fridays, and I wanted a friday instead of saturday B/C of the fact that everyone gets out of work, and they all wanna PARRTTTYYYY b/c the weekend is here! :)

i love weddings no matter what day or time! and yea thursday nights are popular nowadays esp if its a long weekend , summer, or vacation time... been to plenty

Im a thursday night wedding but its the day before 4th of july so its kinda like a friday night...the RH told me it was the cheapest day to get married....So i took it im a little nervous but whoever wants to be there will be and thats all that matters to me as long as i can make my minium, Im sure it will be fine....Dont worry too much about it....your day will be perfect.

The turnout was great. The OOT guests made a long weekend of it.

I got to tell you, I like the idea of a Thursday night wedding personally. First, you save a ton of money and also you do not lose anydays on the weekend going to weddings and its like going out with your friends on thursday night.

I think most people think its 'different' just because its out of the norm of when most weddings are.... My friend got maried on a Thursday night. and ti was great!! I think that the people who love you and your FI will make arrangements necessary to be there regardless of when it is.... I will tell you it is hard for most people to get to the church b/c of work, however again-- if there is enough time to plan-- they'll get the time off!!
