Tiara or flower wreath for flowergirl?

Tiara or flower wreath for flowergirl?

When I ordered my tiara, my sister suggested I get matching, but less elaborate ones for my junior bridesmaids. Which is a good idea, what young teen or pre-teen wouldn't like to wear a tiara? However, what to do about my flower girl? She IS the flower girl, so I could have a flower wreath made for her hair, which would look adorable. OTOH, it's not fair to give the other girls a tiara to take home and not one for the littlest, so I'll still have to get her a tiara for later. Anyone know of a site where I can get a nice, not too cheap, tiara that would fit a seven-year-old? Shouldn't be too hard, right? It's the 1st communion age. Just I'd like one with some blue stones in it, like the other girls are wearing, if possible.

I am not a fan of little girls in tiaras... it is just a personal thing but it reminds me of those little overdressed, super made up little girls who enter beauty pageants. Like Jon Benet Ramsey. It gives me the willies unless they are wearing it in their playroom with a ill fitting princess dress and drinking fake tea with their bears and dolls. I would give her the tiara as a part of her FG present - but not to wear to the wedding.

This is TOTALLY my personal thing and I am sure your flower girl will look adorable no matter what you give her.

That's how I feel about little girls in makeup or those huge poofy hairstyles. It's one thing if they've smeared the makeup on themselves for dress-up, it gives me the willies when I see them in it for recitals or whatever. And I've been to quite a few dance and twirling recitals by this point! I don't mind tiaras, though.

I have an older flower girl who will be wearing a tiara and then an 18 month old FG who will wear a wreath.

Does anybody have any pictures of an FG wreath?

I would go with the wreath. If you want to get her a crfown to play with, you can always get a Disney Princess Crown or a cheap crown from an accessory store like Clares.
