Tiara's overpriced?

I was gown shopping the other day and could have sworn a saw a tiara for 225? If that's so, I'll be doing my own little search on ebay.

You could also try Floral Fantisy in Patchogue- East patchogue. Take hospital road south to the end and make a right, its on the right. They have weird hours so call first.

If you do some research, you can find tiaras for much less than $225.

my tiara i thought was expensive, it was $100 $ 600 would be way too much.
Maybe with the holidays coming up you could ask someone to get you your tiara as a gift. Thats what I did last year!

There's a place in Oceanside that sell them wholesale (I think) and also a few vendors at Tri-County that sell tiaras for way cheaper than $225.

mine was $250 from Macy's. Probably could've found it cheaper but it matched my gown perfectly.

I got mine on eBay and it was gorgeous! And only $39. It was Princess Bride Tiara, I'm pretty sure. Here's a
link to their auctions.

Re: Tiara's overpriced?

Ladies you are defintely scaring me, I had no idea they were charging that much for a tiara, it is not even made with real diamonds or anything, they must be joking, EBAY is now my new best friend. I cannot believe these vendors, they must all be on drugs, with all the other expenses we are having, a $600 tiara, no way, FH would have a heart attack

but then i went to ebay and got this one for $30.....it's from Princess Bridal also....lists for $89 i think...
(that's not me in the picture though.... )

Re: Tiara's overpriced?

Mine was $260 from Macy's bridal salon. I found the EXACT same tiara on bridesave.com for $80.00 but I had already ordered it from Macy's and was totally bummed Definitely try E-bay or one of those discount websites.

Re: Tiara's overpriced?

I think what killed me most about the price of tiaras at the bridal shops was, I went to one and wanted to try a tiara on with the dress I had on. I looked at the price tag and couldn't believe it was $300 to begin with. But then, as I went to put it on my head, one of the little tips broke off. I told the girl there and she said she was sorry and that they had just gotten it in from the manufacturer and she would let them know. Then, I was looking another one and it broke too. Now, mind you, I was NOT handling these things rough at all - in fact pretty carefully since I saw the $300 tag. But I just thought how horrible that they could sell someone something like that for so much money that would break apart so easily.
I ended up getting mine from Patchoge Floral Fantasy for about $75 and never had any problems with it even after trying it on all the time before I got married!

Re: Tiara's overpriced?

palebride and I have the same tiara. I paid $29 for mine.

I also have the same version of my tiara with just scroll (no peak per say) kinda of like a band, I bought for $9 and a third tiara I bought, but will now resell cause I've decided it won't go with the dress I bought for $10.

So that's 3 tiaras for less than $50.

YEAH EBAY
