Ties to match BM dresses... need help!

Hey ladies!
I had this idea to order extra yards of BM dress material to have ties made up for the guys to wear with their tuxes. Is this insane?

The dress I am considering is by Bill Levkoff, and it has a pinstripe detail on the whole thing. I absolutely love this dress.. the stripes (thin!!!) are pink, lavendar and a light green. It has a preppy feel to it, and I would like to carry that over to the tuxes to make them look less formal.
Also, if anyone knows who or where to go to get ties made please let me know Thanks!

I think thats a great Ideas my GM are wearing black tux and a black vest with a lavender tie and hencerchief to match the BMs, and sorry I dont know where to get ties made

I think that is a great idea...I would have never thought of that. I am also using a bill levkoff dress and buying extra yards to have a bow made for my flower girl, because his euro wine color is so hard to match. Do you know how much the extra material is costing?

that dress does sound adorable i would love to see a pic. i think the tie idea is very cool if the extra material is afordable

I don't think that is insane at all. I think its actuallly a great idea...if youdo decide to go for it...please post pics of the finished product...

I would suggest finding a tie style that you like and bring that fabric to a good seamstress or someone who you know who sews well. Maybe that will work. Great idea to use the same fabric though!

Thanks Kissy... MOH to the rescue!! lol...

I love the fabric of the dress and just thought a tie to match would be great. I want the guys to look more like they are wearing great suits than tuxes... so the ties matching would make it more preppy and casual than so fancy! We'll see if I can even find someone to make a men's tie...
