I know I already sent you FM about my experience with having a tight budget, but I was going to say you should also put this as a request on the Vendors Helping Brides forum: the vendors on here will give you quotes if they know you're looking.

It is going to depend on what you want. Any vendor can meet that but if you want albums, etc, then that will be tough.

talk to Florio at Lighthouse photography - he will work with you to come up with a package in your budget I'm sure.

I had that budget in mind but when I started looking I realized I had to expand that budget. Whats good is they usually have budget plans and the last payment is due after the wedding which may help. I think photos and video is important because after the day its really all you have besides the memories of course. What do you want?

It's a little tight - but there are ways to get around it. When you're looking for video - look for raw footage only. Then you can always have it edited when you can save up some money after the wedding. You also may want to look for just a disc of all your pictures (w/o watermarks). I still think all of that would still put you around 2k-2,500.00. Look to see if anyone knows any film students or beginning photographers that might have a lower fee then some of the better known wedding photographers.
I think a lot of photographers require that you pay the last 30% of the bill after the wedding, which could ease the budget up a little bit.
I found that ADA and Patken had very fair pricing and lots of options.

That # is going to be super tight. I think video alone start at 1,000. Photogpraher varies also. It depends on what you are looking for.

I am having the same issue with videographers. I have an awesome photographer that was in my budget butball the videographers I have been getting quotes from are like $3,000 for half decent package :(

sometimes when you find a company that do it together they will help with the price.

Be careful of any information on this site bc LIW will delete posts that they find are offensive to vendors. One of my posts was deleted that gave a synopsis of the vendors I visited and how one of them would not negotiate, well now it is gone. LIW is great if you want a bias view on all vendors but unlike other sites, it will not allow you to post the truth.

I looked into that but when it came to photography, i had something very specific in mind in terms of what I wanted my pics to look like. I did search for someone who would give me a good deal for both but it came out to be like a 6 hours only deal and i needed someone for at least 8! I got a great deal from a great photographer for 10 hours. i love his work so I couldn't pass him up. So now i am looking for a videographer. Yes it is important but I am NOT paying $5,000 for a video.
