Tight Dress

Tight Dress

I picked up my BM dress for a friends wedding and it was very tight. It zipped and all, but I feel like it looks ridiculous around my hips. I have 4 weeks to loose the weight, which I want to do anyway. I just didn't need the pressure!!

If I don't then I'll have to spend $75 to bring it out. I also have a large chest and it's strapless. Guess who's bra shopping this weekend!

The woman who was helping me actually asked if I've gained weight since I was measured. I said my clothes fit the same, so I'm going with no! I feel so fat!

how rude!! of course she didn't bother asking who measured you, to see if there was any kind of screw up on THEIR end... i am sure you will look great!

Re: Tight Dress

don't worry about it, it could just be water weight. did you eat a alot of salty foods? is it 'that time of the month'? I personally (WARNING - may be TMI!) can add about 2 to 3 inches in bloat during that time...

You have plenty of time and im sure you will look great!

Re: Tight Dress

I hate when someone chooses dresses not taking BMs shape into consideration. Some people don't feel comfortable in certain dresses. I know many a bridemaids this has happened too. But Im sure you look fine in it even if it feels a lil tight.

Re: Tight Dress

i have an hour glass shape and instead of going a little lower, they measured the tiniest part! i think i would have been okay if they weren't so nasty!

maybe i needed the motivation so close to summer!

Re: Tight Dress

I'm in a similar situation. My friend is using an Ann Taylor dress for her BM dresses and one size was just a little snug and the other was too big, so I went with the snug one to force myself to kick start my weight loss.

You can do it in 4 weeks. Just keep tabs on your intake and make sure you drink lots of water and do at least 30 min of activity every day, even if it is only walking after dinner. You'll be fine!

Re: Tight Dress

My WEDDING dress was too tight. I lost a bit of weight: but no way could I have done it 4 weeks. My 2nd fitting is next week. If I still don't fit: they are taking that puppy out. and for free. Not MY fault if they measured wrong....I ordered the dress in a SIZE larger than what I fit into.

Damn them for making you feel fat. You shouldn't. It happenned to many of my friends (people just don't talk about it).

Working out helps!!! Before my wedding I went on the South Beach Diet. Phase 1 is a jump start to help your body. But only stay on it for the 2 weeks!! I lost 20 pounds in the 6 weeks before my wedding.

Re: Tight Dress

I just realized i will be in Disney in 2 weeks, and am no where near the goal i set for when I go... (a certain pair of shorts I wanted to fit in)

on the plus side (no pun intended, lol) I stepped on a scale this weekend and am under 200 lbs... (but not by as much as I would like to be)

maybe I'll give that southbeach thing a try til Disney...

Don't freak out!! You have 4 weeks until you have to wear it. Definitely try to cut out salty food and carbonated beverages. Also, try to get some cardio in a on most days and get a pair of Spanx-- they work wonders!!!!
