Timber Point Ceremony and Reception? Pics?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for any info from folks who have been to a wedding (or know anything about) Timber Point Country Club. It is a Lessings property and from what I hear, they have a good reputation. Any info- positive or negative- would be helpful.

Also, anyone have pics from a ceremony and reception there?

I just looked at that place...

Pros: It's beautiful! Nice grounds/photo opportunities.

Cons: (JMO) Dance floor is off to the side of the room, if it rains you get married on the dance floor, the 19th hole is right off the reception room.

i had my reception there and everyone loved it...you can read my review of my july 5th wedding!!! everything was absolutely perfect, and i was SO happy with lessings and TP.

however, i did not get married there...im sure if you can have it outside it will be gorgeous, but there's not a place to really have it inside (except as someone mentioned - on the dancefloor)

some people think the dance floor being off to the side is a negative - i viewed it before (AND on the day of) as a huge positive, because i felt like people could sit out of the dancing and mingle with people/tables...but those who wanted to dance could definitely rock out with the band...

i sometimes don't like when you want to visit another table and have to cross the dancefloor...bc somehow you always get roped into some crazy dance!!! lol

I loved the place, the amenities, and worked with Jennifer and she was fantastic. My parents were worried about the size of our guest list (which we didn't know would be an issue until my parents started adding people!!)

I'm having my reception there next September. I love it! I love that there is no way for another event to occur at the same time. I love the dance floor off to the side so I can put the family who don't like loud music on the other side of the room. I love their reputation, the grounds. I don't like the fact that it's right smack on the golf course but if that's the only thing I don't like, I'm ok with that! Besides, I have an evening reception so I'm not too worried. Neal is easy to deal with and I've already requested Tio as my maitre d' because I've run into him several times and he has remembered me from the time I first walked into Timber Point.

Oh and I had a tasting and the food is SO GOOD!

Timber Point was actually our second choice, but I didn't like that the dance floor was off to the side, and I felt like everything was extra there compared to our first choice. If you're looking for something in that same price range/size, Hamlet Willow Creek in Mt Sinai was FABULOUS! Everything is amazing there, and Barbara the catering manager is fabulous--I'm still working on my review, but HWC opened in 2005 and is SO good--the food was phenomenal, also one event at a time on a golf course....it's great!!
