OK so I am back and not sooo impressed. Although I like Lessing food, I was not happy on the way that the hall is layed out. In order to go to the back patio where the coctail hour and ceremony would be, your guest have to walk through the reception hall area!!!! We were also told that if it is raining and they cant fit all your guest for the coctail hour, they open up the reception area for bar and seating, so there is no suprise at all of your room.
There was a truffle bar, which is AMAZING!!!! and the bakery Black Forrest was there and they served a plain wedding cake which was good.
We spoke to Park Ave photography and their work seems rather impressive, I am hoping to looking into them more. The good thing about lessings is small centerpieces are including in your prices. But they do have a service charge (18%), tax and also tip.
All in all it was ok, however not the site for me. But the food is great!

Re: Timber Point Showcase
yea fh had his holiday party there every year except for this year and we always enjoyed the food but my feelings were exactly like what you said. The layout i wasn't thrilled with. The staff was nice and food is good but the layout sealed the deal as a deff. no.

I just dont like the idea of there being no door to seal off that reception area and then some of your tables are always looking at the main entrance.

Re: Timber Point Showcase
I absolutely loveeeee the set up. I guess everyone has there own opinions. Its just so cozy to me. Then again I dont have more then 130 people attending my wedding...I like how all the tables are together so everyone can socialize, with out having to walk across a dance floor. I love how the dance floor is to the side so its not givin 100% attention. I love the outside during the day the view is fantastic. I went last night and it was so dark. Its so much more beautiful during the day. With all the windows. I love how they have a real bar set up. Not one of those fake bars that they move around. The centerpieces that are included are so nice.....I wouldnt even have to upgrade.

that didnt bother me, but fh saw it and didnt want it! LOL. I was hoping to really like the tpcc being that I am an East Islip grad and been there before! It's not crossed off my list but not at the top.

Re: Timber Point Showcase
i feel like i have to represent for my RH - LOL...
going through the main hall to the CH is not the best i admit.....but as for the CH....if you get married in the summer the maitre d assured me that its fine to be outside b/c they have an awning AND covering of the entire patio - so unless there is literally a hurricane your CH is outside....so potential Timberpoint brides don't be scared!
also i got a screaming deal $$wise ...and it does have a different feel than other halls on li .....
that being said if it weren't for some NEGATIVE comments on this board (about timberpoint) i wouldn't have raised them with management and resolved them before signing the contract. proving again its always good to get everybody's opinion.....
