Timberpoint and food question

Timberpoint and food question

I am booked for Timberpoint and loved the food tasting and the price is right. However I feel that I want more food for cocktail hour. I am how important is it to have lots of food for cocktail hour. Example. The package that I took has 1 butcher, 2 main dish, 7 passed hors d'oeuvres, plus off course cheese and all that stuff.

I have been to weddings at Timberpoint and enjoyed the cocktail hours. Not sure if what they had was standard but I def don't remember wishing there was more. HTH

I'm getting married there also. I didnt' think too much about it since we were more set on the quality of food rather than the quantity. Other places offered us a lot more food but the choices were very basic and I didn't LOVE it like I did at Timberpoint.
Keep going to the showcases. They told me if they run a showcase special (like an add on to the cocktail hr) I could take advantage of the deal even after I am booked.
Good luck!

Thank you. That helps. I was thinking of upgrading for more food. I kept thinking more food is needed. I guess maybe not.

There is more than enough food. My guests loved the cocktail hour. The only upgrade we had during cocktail hour was a martini bar. We also upgrade one of the entree to the filet Mignon with Gorgonzola. We also upgraded to the ice cream bar and Viennese table. Totally do this it is super impressive and oh so yummy. You and your guests will not go home hungry.

I went two weddings in two months, at Timberpoint this summer and the standouts at cocktail hour were the sliders and the coconut shrimp so if you dont have those on your list, I think you should add them because they are great

To be honest, that doesn't sound like a lot of food. I went to a wedding over the weekend and the biggest complaint among the guests were there were only 4 CH stations. and then the cold h'or deuvres and probably about 7 passed h'or deuvres. It would've been okay considering how most wedding halls then serve a 5 course meal, but the meal was then tomato and mozzarella and your main dish. Our whole table was very surprised and I heard it from other guests as well. We wound up ordering Domino's for 50 people when we got back to the hotel.

ETA: I've never been to a Timber Point wedding and this one wasn't held there, but still, I'm just saying. I think we had 8 stations at our CH, 2 butcher stations, cold h'or deuvres table and 8 passed hot h'or deuvres.

And wow, my point is moot because this is an old post. Whoops!
