I was wondering how much time everyone is having between the ceremony and their reception. my ceremony is starting at 3:30 pm and my reception hall wont let us start the wedding until 7pm. is that too long in between?
thanks!

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
WOW thanks SO MUCH girls! Your responses made me feel SO MUCH BETTER about the time gap between my ceremony and reception. it really does make sense to have some breathing room between the two to take pictures.
thanks again everyone, you've made me feel so much better!

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
Ceremony at 3 and Reception at 8:30. It's a large gap, but since I'm getting married in the fall, I want to make sure we can still get pics in the daylight.

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
Our mass was at 3, with cocktail hour beginning at 6.30. But our church and RH were about a 50 minute drive away from each other.

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
Ceremony at 1pm (3pm was already booked at my church). Reception at 6pm. They are about 2 miles away from each other. I am stressed about the gap. Besides pics what else are we going to do? And I feel badly for the guests.

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
thats absolutely fine. when i go to weddings i actually prefer a larger gap because i can go home & change in between - this is what most people will do. no worries
