Do you put the sheet of toilet paper over or under the rest of the roll?

Growing up, I ALWAYS put it under. That was just the way to do it.
Over the past few years working and now living with DH, I've become an 'over the roll' girl.

This is my question. Why is under bad? When it is over and you pull on it, it just keeps coming and coming and wastes a lot. When it is under when you pull slightly sideways its tears off super easy. I understand the debate but I've never gotten any actual facts or 'discussions' on the matter. Just the opinions people usually grew up with. Can anyone explain to me WHY they feel that way?

See now that I like!! As a clean freak, I will accept this argument.
omg... my SIL FREAKS out when DH uses the BR at their place... cause he flips it around...
she'll go into the BR after he gets out and come out screaming about how he flipped it.. she likes it over..

I put it over and it drives me NUTS with DH doesn't put it over! Although, he would have to put it on the holder for it to go either way...

I would never even think about changing the position of someone else's toilet paper roll LOL. Laura, what kind of guests do you have that actually bother to change the TP roll on you. I would be so annoyed!!
