I don't know if you remember but I was contemplating about asking our venue providing there was not another event if we could start our ceremony an hour early. (From 7:30 to 6:30) Unfortunately the only time they would be able to give us is 4pm so it looks like we will be staying with the original time. I really did not think so much about the time of event until FH mentioned the time our guests would be eating. Uggghhhhh! Now I kinda feel bad and I am almost positive someone will be complaining =(

I wouldn't worry about guests complaining. First, people complain about SOMETHING no matter what. Also, when you call a wedding ceremony for 7:30, your guests are aware they won't be eating until late and they can plan their day accordingly. I would not worry about others--they will be happy regardless.

Exactly. There's always someone complaining about something and you don't have any control over it so it is what it is. Not to mention I've never been to a wedding and sat down to dinner and thought 'Oh my God, it's so late!' Nobody's looking at their watch or phone thinking about the time. Especially because they'll all stuff their faces with the delicious food at cocktail hour. Plus the salad, appetizer, etc. Don't stress over it. Your wedding will be amazing and if anyone complains to you, just punch them in the face ;)

Lol. Too funny. I just have to keep reminding FH, they will stuff their face during cocktail hour! lol

It will be fine! No big deal, everyone will have a great time!!! :) Just focus on you, not on what everyone else will care about. They will all be fine!

I totally understand about the timing (ours is the same) and someone will complain (my sister already has). BUT I am just putting it in the back of my mind and not letting that worry me. People are used to eating later at weddings and they will have so much food at cocktail hour they won't worry about dinner being at a late time. Try not to worry about this part, it is really no biggie!

Agreed - there will always be someone with something to say.

You can't please everyone even if you tried. The time is fine and last 2 weddings I attended I barely touched my plate. I stuffed my face at cocktail and left only room for cake.

Don't worry! They will eat a late lunch and then have quick and easy access to food at cocktail hour!

Don't worry! Most of the weddings I have been to were later in the day and I had no complaints!

I wouldn't worry about it! I'm sure people will see that the ceremony is at 7:30 and eat accordingly and plus they can all eat a lot at cocktail hour!
