Time Sensitive Advice - Demetrios at Smith Haven Mall Macy's

Has anyone brought their dress from Demetrios in the Smith Haven mall? Was there today, negotitated a decent discount, and put down a deposit. Have 72 hours to change my mind.

This is definitely my dress, only slightly more than I'd pay for the same at Burton's.

Have any of you gotten your dresses at Macy's? How were alterations? Any issues I should hear about?

I bought mine there and am in the alterations phase now. My dress fits so very little is needed but they do not have a cap on alterations so that may be a factor for you. Because my alterations are minimal it isnt costing me anymore than I would pay somewhere else. So far I have been happy with their service.

I bought my dress at Macy's. I just purchased it recently. I feel comfortable with my decision because Macy's is such a big buisness. I worry that smaller non-chain bridal shops may close with the economy. I feel comfortable knowing that (more than likely) Macy's will be around and not suddenly close.

burtons has something like a $150 cap on alts... def very reasonable... i bought mine there instead of macys #1 bc it was like $300 cheaper and #2 bc of the alts cap

Try Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point the owner is Alicia, she is a sweet heart. They carry Demetrios dresses. 744-7200

A friend of mine went to Macy's and had a hard time with the alteration and the price was out of this world!!

I just wanted to say that I noticed a sign posted at Bridal Suite in Centereach saying something along the lines of they beat Macy's Demetrios prices. Give them a call. They've been great with me so far. But my gown isn't Demetrios...

I bought my dress there. They were great

EVerything went very smoothly...they even put a rush on it for me since I only had a few mos to go before my wedding! I didn't get any alterations there bec I didn't need any (they ordered a hollow-to-hem bec I am petite).
