Those are all good ideas. The only thing is that we live with his parents. His mom says that if we ever want to have the place to ourselves, to just say so, and they will go out, but I feel bad kicking her out of her own house. I've been debating getting a hotel room for the weekend, just to get away from everything....
we do the hotel thing sometimes too--we love the westchester renaissance in white plains! it's not that expensive and the rooms are great! also, it's in a wooded area so we actually feel like we are 'away'

FH and I always try to do different things, For example when we didnt leave together we used to go to a hotel (we find through hotwire so it was cheap) bring our own wine and even bring chinese or order to be deliver at the hotel. We just move together so we are more stuck w/ money so on saturday He made barbeque and i open a bottle of wine and then we watch a movie that we have from netflix ( I love netflix is the only way that we remember that we have a movie and we can sit down whenever we have time) we had popcorn w/ wine... Sometimes we go to the marina w/ a pizza and we just talk anything (but nothing of paying bills or school work to do or wedding related)

We used to go and spend a night at a hotel or a short weekend close by (DH and I used to live with out parents before we got married). It's a good way to get away without going too far and spending too much and having quality time.

most of the time we hang out its just to do that, we dont talk TOO much about the wedding anymore. Ill bring up things that need to be done soon such as 'hey we need to sign up for pre-cana soon' he'll ask when it is and thats the extent of it lol...We booked all our vendors a while ago, so now its just little things.
We like to go out to dinner. On saturdays we have a routine lol unless we have something we need to attend or like the past 2 weeks hes had to work on sat's but other than that we always get out of the house around noon or earlier. We'll go eat brunch or lunch, go tanning or any errands we have, go shopping. Friday nights we get a movie and order food, stay home relaxing watching a movie and just hanging out.
On a sunday maybe go to the movies, get something to eat beforehand.
We also like to go to new places, try new things. When we can go out on the weekend for drinks, well now we can since he doesnt have softball sunday mornings anymore lol
